Center for Diversion and Services

In March 2023, Mayor Andre Dickens joined leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of Atlanta's Center for Diversion and Services. The Center will be a 24/7 service to provide an alternative to jail for those experiencing poverty, substance use or concerns related to mental health. It will target the systemic issues that lead people to engage in criminal activity and will provide resources such as showers, legal assistance, behavioral health screenings and other supportive care. The facility will open in 2024 in Downtown Atlanta.
